Earlier today, the AA reported that Luas services between Tallaght and the Red Cow on the Red Line were halted due to adverse weather.

Services on the line resumed a 4.50pm, but the AA warned there were still some delays.

Earlier today Met Éireann issued both a gale warning and small craft warning, with forecasters predicting winds to reach Force Six on coastal waters.

All Irish Ferries Swift sailings on the Dublin to Holyhead route were cancelled today because of the poor weather conditions.

Stena Line Fastferry sailings between Rosslare and Fishguard have also been cancelled.

Elsewhere, the AA says there are reports of flooding under the bridge on the Arklow road in Gorey, Co Wexford.
