Mr Gerard Graham, of John Street, Dingle, Co Kerry, is charged with the murder of Ms Charlene McAuliffe at Kilnap Place, Cork, on October 2nd last. His application for bail yesterday was opposed by the Garda. Mr Justice Carney set bail at Mr Graham's own surety of £1,000 and an independent surety of £10,000. Under the bail conditions, Mr Grahan is to report to Dingle Garda station every second Wednesday and not to enter Co Cork while on bail.

Bail was also granted to Mr Alan G. Clucas from Port Erin, Isle of Man, who is charged with being an accessory to the murder of Ms McAuliffe. It was stated Mr Clucas has been in the Dingle area since September 1998, and works as a part-time fisherman.
