A man charged over a burglary at the home of the Minister for Justice last month has been released on bail.
Darragh Heavey (25) has already been charged with trespassing at Allan Shatter’s house at Delbrook Manor, Ballinteer, Co Dublin, on March 18th with intent to commit theft of two watches of unknown value belonging to Mr Shatter.
No one was home at the time of the incident, which is alleged to have occurred as Mr Shatter was representing the Government at St Patrick’s Day celebrations in Australia.
Yesterday, at his third court appearance, a judge was told that Mr Heavey, who had been remanded in custody last month, was released after he was granted High Court bail on April 2nd.
The terms of bail were not given yesterday.
Judge John Lindsay adjourned his case to appear again at Dún Laoghaire District Court on May 22nd.
