A 26-year-old machine driver who is charged with the murder of Connemara schoolgirl Siobhan Hynes two years ago was remanded in custody to Castlerea Prison after his bail was revoked at Galway District Court yesterday.

Mr John McDonagh, of The Demesne, Keeraunbeg, Carraroe, Co Galway, faces a second charge in relation to the murder of Ms Hynes on December 6th, 1998, at Keeraunbeg.

State solicitor Mr William Kennedy applied to have Mr McDonagh's bail revoked as he had failed to comply with one of the conditions of his bail which was granted by the High Court last March.
