Rangers have fined England defender Michael Ball Stg£10,000 pounds ($14,090) following his touchline clash with manager Dick Advocaat.

Ball was involved in a furious exchange with Advocaat after being substituted during Sunday's 2-1 defeat by Scottish rivals Celtic.

"This morning I spoke with him and gave him a fine of £10,000 pounds," Advocaat told Sky Sports television today, adding that the money would be donated to a children's charity.

Rangers' defeat at Celtic Park left them 10 points behind Celtic in the Scottish premier league but Advocaat refused to concede the title.
