Ballina, Co Mayo, will host next year's Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann. The announcement comes after a nine year campaign to bring the festival to the town.
The Fleadh Cheoil next August, with up to 10,000 musicians, is expected to attract up to 150,000 people and generate over £7 million for the region.
