Barcelona coach Lorenzo Serra Ferrer has been sacked by the Catalan club today after a meeting withthe club's executive committee, according to Spanish radio.
Serra Ferrer will be replaced by Barcelona's technical director Carles Rexach until the end of the season, the national radio station RNE added.
Barcelona crashed out of the UEFA Cup last week to Liverpool, who now face Alaves in the final.
At home the Catalan side have fared little better - a humiliating 3-1 defeat on Sunday by relegation-threatened Osasuna dropped Barcelona to fifthplace and out of the running for a Champions League spot.
