Beau headed a maximum field of 40 horses declared this morning for Saturday's £500,000 sterling Martell Grand National at Aintree.

Ireland will have two representatives in the shape of last year's winner Papillon and Hollybank Buck. Inis Cara, who will also travel over for the race, will now run for English trainer Venetia Williams.

Another Irish entry, Merry People, is first reserve for the race.

Rathbawn Prince, Red Ark, Feathered Leader and Senor El Betrutti were the four horses who were taken out of the race.

Mister One, who had not been certain to get in the contest, does get the chance to compete with Supreme Charm the last horse on the runners list.

Reserves: Merry People, Samuel Wilderspin, Him Of Praise, Kendal Cavalier.
