Children are not allowed into the hospital and members of the public are being asked to avoid visiting unless absolutely essential. The move comes after 45 cases of flu were recorded in the hospital since February 13th.

Essential visiting only may take place between 2 and 4pm and between 6 and 8pm, with only one visitor allowed per patient.

Flu can be contagious for up to two days before the symptoms start, and a person with flu can continue to spread the virus to others for up to one week after symptoms begin. People with flu-like symptoms should not visit the hospital other than for medical treatment.
