Beef Or Salmon will complete his preparations for next week's totesport Cheltenham Gold Cup with a workout tomorrow.
The Michael Hourigan-trained nine-year-old will also be scoped to make sure the recent tracheal infection - which saw him beaten into second place in the Irish Hennessy - has not resurfaced.
"He is really well in himself and I am very happy with him," Hourigan told the Racing Post. "He had a racecourse gallop at Limerick last Friday and he did a bit of work at home on Tuesday.
"But with this thing going round you never know how your horses are until you work them strenuously. Beef Or Salmon will do his final piece of work on Friday and if he should work badly I will know straightaway.
"But, assuming he works well, I will have to wait for the vet to give him the all-clear. I know it will feel like the longest minute of my life when the scope is in him!"
Noel Meade has confirmed Harchibald bang on target for Tuesday's Smurfit Champion Hurdle.
The Country Meath handler's star charge lost his place at the head of the ante-post market after a poor piece of work at Navan last Saturday.
However, no explanation for that effort came to light and Meade told the Racing Post: "His blood tests were perfect and he is in great form.
"I haven't done a great deal with him this week, but I hadn't intended to anyway, and he is bouncing around at the moment. He is definitely going to run, provided I continue to be happy with him, and I will breeze him on Saturday morning.
"Going for the Champion Hurdle after a piece of work like that is not the way you would want to go and I suppose that it is hard to be confident in the circumstances, but it was probably a one-off thing.
"I'm not making excuses, but the ground at Navan was very soft and tacky and they went a gallop. I any case, it wouldn't be the first time that a horse works badly and then runs well."
