A man was charged in Belfast yesterday with raping and indecently assaulting two sisters. The offences were alleged to have taken place between 1987, when the girls were aged 11 and 12, and 1989.
A detective told the Magistrates Court that when Mr Walter Keenan (64), from Moyard Park, west Belfast, was charged, he replied: "Definitely not guilty." He was remanded in custody for a week.
It was Mr Keenan's second court appearance in three days. Last Saturday he was accused, of threatening to kill another schoolgirl and attempting to pervert the course of justice.
