A former doctor has failed in a High Court bid to quash his conviction on charges of having St John’s Wort and other products without the necessary licences.
Paschal Carmody (61), Ballycuggaran, Killaloe, Co Clare, had sought orders aimed at overturning his conviction of November 2005 for nine offences, including having St John’s Wort for wholesale purposes at premises at Bawnboy, Ballycroe, Tralee, Co Kerry, without the required licence from the Irish Medicines Board.
