POSITIVE Action has called on the Minister for Health, Mr Noonan, to produce the heads of a Bill implementing his commitment to the hepatitis C Compensation Tribunal. The Minister has agreed that the tribunal will be empowered to award aggravated damages and that this will be retrospective. Legislation is necessary to implement this. Mr Noonan indicated yesterday that he would meet Positive Action.
