BRITAIN: DNA tests have proved that Hollywood producer Steve Bing is the father of actress Liz Hurley's baby son Damian, his spokeswoman confirmed yesterday.
The test results were disclosed at a hearing in the Family Division of the High Court in London.
Lawyers for both parties were at the High Court for the result. Mr Bing, who is in the US, declined to make any further comment.
Ms Hurley, who has always maintained that Mr Bing was the father, now stands to receive millions of dollars in child support.
The Californian film producer is heir to a $400 million (€419 million) property fortune.
Mr Bing (35) had made a public declaration that he would provide Damian with financial support and play a part in his upbringing if he was proved to be the father.
Ms Hurley (37) has emerged with her pride and reputation intact as the result pours scorn on Mr Bing's claim that the couple were not in an "exclusive" relationship at the time Damian was conceived. He began legal proceedings in April two weeks after Damian was born - a move which Ms Hurley branded "astonishing".
The pair had been in a year-long relationship after the former Estee Lauder model split from actor Hugh Grant.
