Snooker:Stuart Bingham collected the first ranking title of his career after producing a remarkable fight back to stun Welshman Mark Williams in the final of the Australian Goldfields Open in Bendigo, Victoria.
Bingham, who was contesting the first big final of his 16-year professional career, reeled off the last four frames of the match to post a thrilling 9-8 victory over the two-time world champion.
However, for long periods of the match it seemed that 36-year-old Williams - chasing his second title of the year and 19th of his career - was on his way to an expected triumph as he led 8-5 at the Bendigo Stadium.
But back came the 35-year-old from Basildon, and former world amateur champion, to enjoy the biggest moment of his career.
The Essex player had taken the opening frame with a break of 139, and promptly moved into a 3-1 lead.
Williams responded by securing seven of the next nine frames to move 8-5 in front - and needing just one more frame for a routine victory.
Yet Bingham had a different script as he raced through the next four frames to shock the world number one.
