Blackburn have agreed a fee of £7.5 million sterling for Rangers' midfielder Barry Ferguson, according to media reports this morning.
Newspapers are reporting that, despite Rovers boss Graeme Souness withdrawing his interest in the player yesterday, the Scottish champions are now prepared to part with their influential captain for an immediate fee of £6.5 million, and £1 million in installments.
The five-year deal is believed to be worth £35,000 a week to Ferguson.
Everton had also been in the running for Ferguson's signature, but boss David Moyes saw his £6 million bid turned down.
