British voters seeking excitement in what is universally dismissed as a boring election campaign can take to the Internet and zap the leading members of the two main parties.

Website Friendly Giants has repackaged the campaign for the June 7th general election as the once popular game of Space Invaders available on

Players can choose Tory Invaders - in which Labour Party leader Mr Tony Blair zaps Conservative Party leader Mr William Hague and his acolytes - including Mrs Margaret Thatcher - while dodging their bombs.

Alternatively, they can opt for Labour invaders in which Mr Hague gets the chance to shoot down Mr Blair, his lieutenants and old Labour statesman Mr Harold Wilson.
