Gardaí are investigating today after a landlord discovered the body of a newborn baby in the attic of a house in Co Limerick.
The owner of the property in west Limerick found the body while checking the premises after a family renting it had left.
It is believed the landlord investigated the attic after noticing a strong smell in the house.
The family, who have a number of older children, are understood to have moved out within the past two weeks.
