The body of a fisherman missing from a trawler off Cork has been recovered.
The body of the 43-year-old man was recovered close to the slip at the pier in Castletownbere this afternoon.
He had been part of a crew aboard the 24 fishing trawler, the Patrick C, which was based at Clogherhead in Co Louth.
It is understood the vessel with several crew had pulled in to the harbour overnight and to take on supplies.
The man, who was originally from Killybegs, Co Donegal but had been living in Clogherhead, was reported missing early this morning.
The Castletowbere Lifeboat, the Coastguard and local divers launched a search at 11am and his body was spotted in the water close to the pier at about 1.30pm.
It is understood he had been out socialising with friends last night and failed to return to the trawler.
