Body of man found in north Dublin

Gardaí are investigating the discovery of a man’s body in a field in north Co Dublin.

The body, earlier reported to be that of a young male aged between 10 and 12, is now believed to be that of a man in his early 20s.

The discovery was made at a field in Balheary near Swords shortly before 3pm, a Garda spokesman said.

The body remains at the scene, which has been preserved for a full technical and forensic examination.

Gardaí said the State pathologist had been notified and that preliminary enquiries were ongoing.
