The body of a man has been taken from the Grand Canal in Dublin.

The body of a man has been taken from the Grand Canal in Dublin.

The body was found at Clanbrassil Street Upper, close to Harold's Cross Bridge at 9 a.m. Gardai in Kevin Street station are seeking help in identifying the man.

He is described as a white male, approximately five foot nine inches, of average build, mid to late fifties with average length grey hair, receding slightly.

He was dressed in a black Adidas tracksuit bottoms with white stripes, a black anorak and black leather shoes.
