The body of a man has been recovered in Co Clare by a Coast Guard unit searching for two men missing since their vehicle plunged into the sea near Doolin last week.
The discovery was made on the shoreline shortly before 9am close to the location where the remains of Martin Griffin (24) were found last Tuesday.
The man's body is being brought to Limerick Regional Hospital where a formal identification will be made. The search for the body of the third man is continuing.
Mr Griffin was buried at the weekend in Ennis.
It is believed the Suzuki Vitara jeep in which the men were travelling plunged into the sea between 10am and 10.45am last Monday after rolling over the edge with its engine off.
Rough seas and poor weather conditions have been hampering the search.
