A young schoolgirl discovered the skeletal remains of murdered Co Fermanagh businessman Gerry McGinley, in June last year, 10 months after he disappeared from his Ballinamallard home, Belfast Crown Court heard today.
Mr McGinley's wife Julie (31), Windmill Drive and her alleged lover Michael Monaghan (44), Ann Street, also Enniskillen deny murdering him in his own bed on August 13th 2000, after they spent the night socialising in a local hotel.
The jury of seven men and five women heard that Mr McGinley's body was discovered in Ballnamore woods across the border in Co Leitrim by a young girl out walking, with her two sisters, and mother and aunt.
Later the court heard that Mr McGinley (44), could have been beaten over the head with a baseball bat, but not with a hammer.
The trial continues today.
