Bohemians proved too strong for a game Dundalk side in the second round of the FAI Carlsberg Cup in front of a large crowd at Oriel Park this evening.

Stephen Kenny's side have been occupied by the lure of the Champions League qualifiers but refocused impressively today on their bread and butter football.

The Dubliners, showing five changes to their side, took the lead after 65 minutes when substitute Robbie Doyle reacted quickest to tap home from close range after Dundalk 'keeper Neal Gallagher pushed away a Glen Crowe effort.

Doyle wrapped up the contest one minute from time with his second of the game. The former UCD star this time driving the ball low into the left corner of Gallagher's goal.
