Racing: New Approach has a nose to find with Henrythenavigator on Newmarket running as the pair clash again in tomorrow's Irish 2000 Guineas at the Curragh and the money is following Jim Bolger's charge.
The race sponsors Boylesports slightly favour New Approach at 11-8 against Aidan O'Brien's English 2000 Guineas winner Henrythenavigator at 13-8, while other bookmakers report the public to be siding with the Rowley Mile runner-up.
Just six others will take the plunge and Bolger reports all to be well with last season's top juvenile, who lost his unbeaten record so narrowly three weeks ago.
"He's very well," said the Co Carlow trainer. "Everything has gone well with him since Newmarket and we are very happy to be going to the Curragh. We haven't had to do much with him since his run."
O'Brien also has the highly-rated Jupiter Pluvius, while there is a question mark over the participation of Dermot Weld's Famous Name.
The going is described as good to firm, conditions that may be too quick for the Dermot Weld-trained Leopardstown 2000 Guineas Trial winner.
Connections plan to take a look at the track in the morning before making a final call.
"There's no decision yet. I think we'll probably have to wait and see a little bit," said Teddy Grimthorpe, racing manager to owner Prince Khalid Abdullah.
"We might wait until Saturday but I'll look at the forecast again and see if I can walk the track with Dermot."
