A roadside bomb killed three US soldiers when it struck their vehicle in Baghdad, the US military said in a statement today.
The vehicle was hit in the northwestern part of the capital last night, the statement said. There were no further details.
Attacks have fallen across Iraq in recent months due to a crackdown on militants, US commanders say, but 22 soldiers have been killed so far in February.
In total, 3,966 US troops have been killed in Iraq since the 2003 invasion that toppled Saddam Hussein.
