The IABA have lost their bid for the right to stage the 2011 world championships. A delegation travelled to Milan to make a presentation but AIBA, the world governing body, opted for Korea as the host country in what was effectively a two horse race.

Busan City will now host the championships, which also act as a first qualifier for the 2012 London Olympic games.
