YOU may think you can remember Barry McGuigan having a hit single a long time ago. In the throes of false memory syndrome you can probably even give a passable rendition of Thank You Very, Very Much Mr Eastwood Except of course that that wasn't Barry, it was Dermot Morgan in the glorious Scrap Saturday days.

This week the boxer came to the Clarence Hotel in Dublin to launch what really is his first serious single. It's called 1538 Paradise Avenue and the party was attended by one of Barry's musical heroes Paul Brady, as well as Aisling Evans, Lainey Keogh and Barry's stunning wife Sandra who was decked out in black and white fun fur.

To get some handy hints on live performance Barry has been jamming with his friend Ron Wood at the studio in the Rolling Stone's Kildare home.
