A five-year-old boy has died after being shot in the head at his mother's home. Perry Flower died in hospital after the shooting at his home in west London.
Police were called to an "altercation" at the house in Neville Close in Hounslow just after 1.10 a.m. where they found the mother and son.
The boy suffering serious head injuries was taken to a west London hospital.
His mother sustained minor injuries and was taken to Ashford Hospital in west London. She has since been released and was at her son's bedside.
A Scotland Yard spokeswoman said a man was arrested after officers were called to the house, following a high-speed car chase in Hammersmith, west London.
The man, in his 30s, was taken to a London hospital where his condition was described as stable. His relationship to the mother and son was not known.
A firearm was recovered from the scene, the spokeswoman added.
