A mother last night spoke of her relief after her eight-year-old son managed to escape a kidnapper. Ms Angela Campbell's son, Ryan, was abducted by a man and forced into a car before being driven to a house in Larne, Co Antrim.
The boy managed to escape when he was ordered out the back door to brush the yard. "Luckily Ryan saw a hole in the fence and got through it into the next-door neighbour's garden and asked the next-door neighbour could he please go over his back fence," she said.
The incident took place yesterday afternoon when Ryan was chased and grabbed by a man in the Linn Road/Cranfield Park area of the town. The man carried him under his arm to his car before taking him to the house. PA
