A four year old Dublin boy was among nine people killed in traffic accidents in the past four days. The child, named as Christopher Moore, from Collins Avenue, Killester, died after being struck by a car outside Dollymount House, a pub on Clontarf Road, on Sunday.
A man died and four people were injured in a collision involving two cars and a truck at Edgeworthstown, Co Longford, yesterday. The injured people were taken to hospital.
No information on the man had been released by gardai last night.
Gardai in Dublin are seeking witnesses to a fatal accident in Phibsboro yesterday. A woman in her 60s died when she was struck by a lorry.
Early yesterday, Ms Lorraine Jordan (23) died after the car in which she was a passenger crashed into a supermarket in Fagoat village, Co Wexford.
In Dublin, also early yesterday, a pedestrian, Mr Michael Brady (50) from the North Strand area, was killed after being struck by a car at Victoria Quay.
In Co Donegal, Mr Liam Barrett (46), from Letterkenny, died after his car was in a head on collision with another car at Carlan Upper, Kerrykeele, near Milford.
Three people were killed on Saturday when their card skidded off the road at Rosetown, Co Meath. The victims were identified as Mr Martin Lee (19), Mr James Hill (20) and Mr David Jacobs (19), all from Navan.
