A DUBLIN schoolboy injured by a Basque separatist bomb in northern Spain has been granted leave of the High Court to sue for damages under the Warsaw Convention. Mrs Justice Catherine McGuinness heard that Thomas O'Mahoney (10) and his mother, Ms Una O'Mahoney, of Hazelbrook Road, Terenure, Dublin, received serious leg injuries as they boarded a Britannia Airways flight at Reus Airport.

Mr Tony O'Connor, counsel for the boy, said the bomb exploded on July 20th. Proceedings for compensation against Britannia Airways Ltd had been instituted by Arthur Cox, solicitors, and he required leave of the court to issue a summons abroad under the Warsaw Convention.
