GAA:Eoin Bradley will not be available for Derry's remaining Allianz National Football fixtures after his four-week ban was upheld at ta meeting of the Central Hearings Committee (CHC).
Bradley received a red card during the Division Two clash with Sligo earlier this month. Although the challenge on Sligo full back Neil Ewing appeared innocuous enough at the time the influential corner forward was reported for striking with the elbow.
Bradley chose not to accept the month-long sanction proposed by the Central Competitions Control Committee, requesting a personal hearing,
but the CHC found “the evidence presented sufficiently compelling to contradict the contents of the referees’ report”.
He now will miss the matches against Meath and Antrim but would be eligible for the final should Derry to make it that far. The Oak Leaf county are currently fifth in the standings but are just two points adrift of leaders Donegal.
