The 54th Dun Laoghaire bridge congress has a new format this year, and will run from September 28th to October 1st in the Rochestown Lodge Hotel.
The programme is: Thursday (7.15 p.m.), reception, followed by women's and men's pairs; Friday (7.30 p.m.), mixed pairs (including prizes for best married couple, and first and second intermediates); Saturday (1.30 p.m.), separate two-session, major and intermediate A and B pairs; Sunday (midday), separate two-session major, and inter A and B teams.

The Contract Bridge Association of Ireland will hold a seminar for bridge teachers in Dublin on September 23rd-24th.
