The annual match between the Contract Bridge Association of Ireland (CBAI), and the Northern Ireland Bridge Union (Sonya Britton Trophy) will take place at the Greystones Centre, Co Wicklow, on August 15th-16th. Open, women's, senior - excluding internationals - officials', intermediate A, and B teams will take part.
The CBAI's national master, mixed pairs championship (Spiro Cup), and intermediate mixed pairs championship (Jim Fitzgerald Trophy) will both be decided over three sessions in the Bridge Hotel, Waterford, on September 19th (1.30 p.m.), and 20th (noon).
Entry is open to players from the intermediate B grade upwards.

Patrons of the Ballybunion congress should note that it will be held at a new venue, the Golf Hotel - from September 9th to 13th.

After the untimely death of Paddy Walsh, the editor of The Irish Bridge Journal for 19 years, his sister, Una Walsh, has taken his place.
