The Irish Bridge Union's All-Ireland team championship (Egan Trophy) will be decided in the Mourne Golf Club, Newcastle, Co Down, on June 10th (1.30 p.m.) and 11th. The agreed representation is four teams from the Contract Bridge Association of Ireland, and two from the Northern Ireland Bridge Union.

The major pairs championship of the Youghal Bay congress, held in the Walter Raleigh Hotel, was won by M. Prendergast, and D. O'Sullivan. The runners-up were J. Higgins, and B. Cotter. The third prize went to P. McCarthy, and D. Cotter.

Intermediate prizes: 1, J. McGann, E. Kelleher; 2, O. Rose, E. Cosgrove. Sessional winners: D. and A. Dillon; B. Kelly, M. Canning.

Mixed pairs: 1, A. Heffernan, M. Prendergast; 2, C. McInerney, A. Power; 3, J. McGann, J. O'Mahoney. Regional prize: B. and D. Cotter.
