The 21st Bangor bridge congress will take place from August 3rd to 5th at a new venue - the Clandeboye Courtyard, Clandeboye Estate, on the Belfast Road.
A reception for the participants will be held on Friday (7 p.m.), followed by the mixed and open pairs (7.45 p.m.). On Saturday (1.30 p.m.) three two-session pairs championships, major, intermediate and junior, will be played. The teams, which will be decided via the Swiss system, will start at 1 p.m., and finish before 9.30 p.m. on Sunday.

The CBAI's major national mixed pairs championship for the president's, (Seamus Dowling's) prize, and the Spiro Cup will be decided over three sessions at the Templeogue Centre, Dublin, on September 22nd23rd; as will the corresponding intermediate event (Jim Fitzgerald Trophy) on the same dates at the same venue.
The CBAI's congress for intermediate and novice players will take place in the Killeshin Hotel, Portlaoise, from October 19th to 21st. Special rates are available at the venue for those who book early.
