London - The family of a British circus trainer, Richard Chipperfield (23), were last night awaiting news after he was bitten on the head by a tiger during a US photo-shoot.
He is in intensive care at the Bayfront hospital in St Petersburg, Florida, and was due to undergo surgery this morning.
Some reports said the trainer had put his head inside the tiger's mouth. The tiger was shot dead by the trainer's brother.
