Two Dublin brothers charged with firearms and ammunition offences were freed on bail by the Special Criminal Court yesterday.
Mr Gabriel Donohue (28), a storeman, of Alpine Heights, Clondalkin, is charged with the unlawful possession of two rifles and 31 rounds of ammunition and four shotgun cartridges at his home on October 16th last year.
Mr Anthony Donohue (42), a taxi-driver, of Palmerstown, is charged with the unlawful control of the guns and ammunition on the same date. The brothers were ordered to hand in their passports and to sign on weekly at a Garda station.
A third man arrested with the brothers was remanded in custody. Mr Dermot Gannon (34), a married unemployed man, of Mulhuddart, is charged with membership of the IRA. The three men were remanded until November 15th.
