Brown 'flattered' by Saudi approach

Former Scotland manager Craig Brown said he was flattered to have been approached by Saudi Arabia - but that he was not sure if it was a hoax.

It is known that the Saudis are looking for a manager to take charge for next summer's World Cup finals having already used three coaches in a successful qualifying campaign.

Brown said he was "90 per cent convinced" that the agent who had made the approach was the genuine article.

But the 61-year-old told BBC's Good Morning Scotlandprogramme he had still acted with extreme caution.
