Northern Ireland was given a new air link with eastern Europe today when budget airline Jet2 announced it is to start scheduled services to the Czech capital Prague.
The low-cost carrier said it would operate four flights a week from Belfast International Airport to Prague from the end of April with one-way fares starting at £29 including taxes.
It is only the second scheduled European destination flown out of Belfast - easyJet operates daily flights to Amsterdam.
More could follow after Jet2 hinted at more routes from Belfast, and easyJet is understood to be in talks with the airport about opening services to Paris.
One-year-old Jet2 , which is based at Leeds Bradford Airport from where it flies to a number of European destinations, only entered the Northern Ireland market last November when it introduced daily services between Belfast and Leeds.
