Burmese opposition leader Ms Aung San Suu Kyi will be discharged from hospital soon, although it was not clear if she would go back into detention, her doctor said today.
"I cannot definitely say the date she will be discharged, but it will be in a day or two," Dr Tin Myo Win told reporters outside the Yangon hospital where Ms Suu Kyi is recuperating after major surgery last week.
Dr Tin Nyo Win said authorities did not tell him where Ms Suu Kyi, held in a secret location for more than three months before her operation, would be taken, but they agreed to allow him access to her.
According to sources, she underwent a hysterectomy operation to remove her uterus.
