Businesses were raided across Northern Ireland today as part of a multi-million pounds civil service fraud inquiry.
Ministry of Defence officers searched six commercial premises and a house in the probe into suspected fraudulent contracts.
Documents and computer equipment has been seized by representatives from the Serious Fraud Office and the MOD's police fraud squad.
Police services in Northern Ireland offices assisted in the raids which took place in Belfast, Lisburn, Newtownabbey and Antrim. A private residence in Downpatrick, Co Down, was also scoured by the team.
No arrests were made, but a source close to the investigation confirmed officers were focusing on civil servants they suspect may have been involved in a scam running into millions of pounds.
The inquiry is centred on the suspected fraudulent activity involving MoD contracts handled by civil servants. No military personnel are thought to be involved.
