Sales of C&C’s Magners cider at British stores rose 22 per cent by volume in the four weeks to June 15th compared with the year-earlier period, Goodbody Stockbrokers said in a note today, citing AC Nielsen.
The performance of the company’s pear cider was also exceptionally strong, according to the report, accounting for 18 per cent of volumes.
“Clearly the Magners Pear product is performing well, having increased in distribution by 20 per cent and its sales volume by 5 fold in the space of a month,” Goodbody analyst Liam Igoe said.
