C4 broadcaster set for picnic

Veteran British broadcaster Jon Snow will be one of the guests at this year's Electric Picnic.

Veteran British broadcaster Jon Snow will be one of the guests at this year's Electric Picnic.

Snow, the presenter of Channel 4 Newswill take part in the Mindfield All-Star Newsalong with the Late Late Show's new host Ryan Tubridy.

His girlfriend Aoibhínn Ní Shúilleabháin will present Seed Dating, a forum to allow people to share and develop ideas for innovative projects in arts, science, technology and media.

Science Gallery will make its debut at Electric Picnic in 2009 and will be based on the exhibitions in the state of the art building on Dublin's Pearse St.

Also announced from this year's Mindfield section of the festival, which takes place from Friday, September 4th to Sunday, September 6th, are appearances from spoken word artist Marty Mulligan, music impresario BP Fallon and writer Dermot Bolger.
