An appeal by the Criminal Assets Bureau against a High Court decision that the Flood tribunal has jurisdiction to determine whether CAB has privilege over documents seized from a former Dublin assistant county manager, Mr George Redmond, will be heard by the Supreme Court on July 14th.
The documents are sought by the tribunal but CAB has claimed its investigations and potential criminal proceedings could be jeopardised if they are handed over.
Mr Redmond was arrested by CAB officers at Dublin Airport in February and subsequently his house was searched and certain material and documents were seized by CAB.
