Blood and tissue samples from three calves with lesions on their tongues were sent to Pirbright Laboratories in London yesterday as a precaution, the Department of Agriculture said last night.
Department vets do not believe the animals have foot-and-mouth and none of the other animals on the farm showed any sign of infection.
