A group of breast cancer survivors is to represent Ireland in a mass 'powerwalk' marathon through London next week in aid of research into the disease.
The 14-strong Irish team for the Playtex Moonwalk on May 12th, when female participants will wear specially decorated brassieres, formally launched their fundraising effort in Dublin today.
The Irish walkers among the 8,000 due to take part will be called the 'Dublin Divas'.
Organiser Ms Zena Harrold said: "By taking part and raising funds for vital charities, we feel that we are doing our part in helping tackle this devastating disease of breast cancer, which has affected virtually every family in Ireland in recent years."
