An English couple who imported cannabis resin have been remanded in custody to May 2nd next for sentence by Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.
They are Stephen Hawkins (21), of Chamberland House, Edmonton, London, and Jamie Virginia England (18), with addresses at 7B Kendal Parade and 84 Parklane, also in Edmonton.
They have been in custody since their arrest at Dublin Airport on September 17th, 1995. Both pleaded guilty in February to importing the drug.
Hawkins admitted importing 13.56 kg of cannabis resin at Dublin Airport on September 17th, 1995, and England pleaded guilty to importing 14.38kg of the drug at the airport on the same occasion.
