Cannabis resin with an estimated street value of €319,000 was seized by the Customs Service at Rosslare yesterday.
The officers seized 53kg of the drug when, using a sniffer dog, they searched a car that was disembarking a ferry from France. The dog indicated that the car contained something. The car was then scanned and the drugs discovered.
A Ukrainian national was being questioned at Wexford Garda station last night.
